Meet the New Addressable Lighting on the Reserve and Leggera Helms

These aren’t just any helms; they’re packed with features that make your time on the water easier, more stylish, and way more fun. The star of the show? The all-new addressable lighting system. Let’s dive in and explore how this feature works.

What Is Addressable Lighting?

Addressable lighting means you can control each individual LED light instead of them all working as one. This gives you tons of options to customize the color, brightness, and even patterns of your lights. Whether you want a calm glow or a colorful party vibe, it’s all possible.

How to Control the Lighting

The Simrad screen on the right-hand side of the helm is your go-to spot for managing all the lights. Here’s how to get started:

Open the Homepage
From the homepage, on the left hand side under the lighting tab, pick what lighting you want to adjust. You can choose from these options:

• • Inside Tab: Controls all the interior lights, like cupholders, speakers, and the helm.
  • Outside Tab: Manages exterior lights, including underdeck, underwater, and toon strip lighting.
  • Hardtop Tab (Reserve Only): Adjusts the lighting for the hardtop on Reserve models.

Two Ways to Customize Your Lights

You’ve got two options for controlling your pontoon’s lighting:

1. Using the Shadow-Caster App (For Full Control) Barletta has pre-installed the Shadow-Caster app on the Simrad screen for advanced lighting customization. Think of it like a music app, but for your lights. Here’s what you can do:
   • Change Presets: Tap and hold a preset to edit it. You can pick new colors and even rename it to something fun.
   • Adjust Effects and Zones: Choose from static colors, slow fades, strobes, and more. You can also control how fast the colors change and how bright they are.
   • Explore the Color Wheel: Pick any color you like from the wheel to match your vibe.

Be sure to try the Wonka preset, my personal favorite, with lights changing through a rainbow of colors. If you want to dive deeper into what the Shadow-Caster app can do, check out their website for more details.

1. Using the Barletta Lighting Tab (For Easy Adjustments) If you prefer something simpler, use the Barletta lighting tab. This is located on the left-hand side of the Simrad screen under the other tabs, "Engines," "Audio," and "Switches." Here’s what it does:
   • Lets you pick from your pre-set lighting options made in the Shadow-Caster app.
   • It’s available on both the dash screen and the Simrad screen for quick access.

NOTE: Don’t forget about the "Underway" function! With a single press of the Underway button, all exterior lights automatically switch to white. This feature ensures you meet navigational lighting requirements and stay safe on the water
